Anne Hathaway is strutting for two.
The “Ocean’s Eight” star, who announced she was expecting her second child in July, showed off her baby bump for the first time on the red carpet at the opening night of “Sea Wall/The Life” on Broadway at The Hudson Theatre on Thursday.
Joined by her husband Adam Shulman, Hathaway wore a custom hot pink midi dress by Brandon Maxwell featuring cutouts just below the bust.
The actress, 36, revealed on Instagram that the designer even stitched a special tag inside the dress that read, “Anne + 1,” referring to baby no. 2.
“@brandonmaxwell, as if it wasn’t enough you custom-made me and the bump a knockout dress, you put this tag in it. Thank you, new friend 💕,” Hathaway wrote.
The Oscar winner recently opened up about her struggles with fertility.
“I think that we have a very one-size-fits-all approach to getting pregnant,” Hathaway told The Associated Press in July. “And you get pregnant and for the majority of cases, this is a really happy time.”
“But a lot of people who are trying to get pregnant: That’s not really the story,” she continued. “Or that’s one part of the story. And the steps that lead up to that part of the story are really painful and very isolating and full of self-doubt. And I went through that.”
Hathaway and Shulman, who got married in September 2012, also share 3-year-old son Jonathan.
